Pear Tree Cottage Queenstown
Hotel Overview : Pear Tree Cottage QueenstownSituated half way between Queenstown and Arrowtown (12 minutes drive to either), directly below the Coronet Peak Ski Field, Pear Tree Cottage is the original farm cottage for Dalefield farm, the whole area is now known as "Dalefield". Our cozy historic cottage (circa 1870's) was virtually derelict, now lovingly restored and filled with rural memorabilia.Guests have exclusive use of the cottage (and a stocked pantry). Single party booking in two bedrooms. Total privacy - we will pamper you as much or as little as you desire. Set in eight acres the cottage is surrounded by a large well developed garden, mature trees and sweeping lawn. Centrally heated throughout plus a huge open log fire. Our separate cottage is 50 metres away - close enough to be at your beck and call, far enough away to ensure your privacy. Breakfast - whenever it suits - includes fresh local produce, cereals, muffins, bagels or croissants or a cooked selection if desired. We will cook you a sumptuous dinner and join you in the candlelit "farmhouse" kitchen or leave you to a romantic evening alone. Alternatively we will drive you to one of the many local restaurants. Barbecue, jacuzzi and petanque are adjacent to the extensive deck which is cluttered with dozens of flower filled pots, rustic containers and hanging baskets creating an "outdoor livingroom". One can sit on an old barbers chair on the deck and check out the snow on the Coronet Peak Ski Field which fills the view to the north - so close you can be on the chairlift 15 minutes after walking out the door.
