The House, built originally as a Sporting Lodge in the early 1800s, derives its name from the Earl of Zetland, Lord Viceroy and a frequent visitor in the last century. Today, the Prendergast family has recreated the charm and elegance of those days combined with all the sophisticated luxury expected by discerning guests. But the natural beauty of Connemara is never far away. From the main reception rooms and bedrooms, you look over gardens rich in flowers, shrubs and trees, sweeping down to Cashel Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Facilities in rooms include direct dial telephone, Satellite TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities. Also Tennis Court and Garden. In the area we have fishing, horse riding, Heritage Tours, Aran Islands, National Park and much more. |
