Toowong Cottage is situated on Gorse Road, Falconbridge, one of the small villages in the Blue Mountains. Toowong Cottage has been recently renovated and is bright and airy with an easterly outlook towards Sydney. The cottage offers two bedrooms, with new beds (one queen, two singles), open plan lounge and dining area with view to Sydney and fully enclosed rear garden make it suitable for children. In 1877, Sir Henry Parkes purchased 600 acres of land here in the Blue Mountains and gave the name Faulconbridge, the maiden name of his mother, to the residence he built. A railway station was constructed to serve his needs in 1877. The Blue Mountains is perfect for exploring the best that nature has to offer. Breathe the fresh mountain air and relax, as you marvel at a majestic landscape of waterfalls and awe-inspiring sandstone escarpments. The Blue Mountains is the ideal destination for that romantic getaway or family escape.
