INTRODUCTION: Shreeji Ummaid Singhji, The 18th ruler of Bundi state in the year AD 1796 gifted this farm to his sons Sardar Singhji and Bahadur Singhji. In the gone by days this used to be the Aaraamgaha or the royal rest house. Maharaja Rajendra Singhji of Dugari the present owner of the farm decided to convert and promote this place into a majestic camping site for foreign tourists visiting Bundi and the Hadoti belt of Rajasthan state. The Ummaid Bagh Resorts is a living farm situated on the banks of lake Jait Sagar It is just 2km away from Bundi city surrounded by mountains and a lake on all three sides. It is the home to many migratory birds in winter.ACCOMMODATION:The Ummaid Bagh Resorts, the pioneers of the Tented Accommodation in Hodoti region having 15 AC tents, is a living farm situated on the banks of the lake Jait Sagar. The Ummaid Bagh Resort where royalty meets nature. The camping site is very peaceful and a perfect place to relax. It is a paradise for bird lovers, combining nature with warmth and luxury. It has lush green lawn, huge trees, surrounded by a hill and lake from three sides with a magnificent view of the lake Jait sagar which is home of many a migratory bird in winter season. With royal welcome the guests can have a comfortable stay as the camp consists of well furnished air-conditioned tents on constructed base with four feet varandas. The tents are fixed on circumference of lush green well-maintained garden. The attached bathrooms with western fittings are equipped with hot and cold water. The esteemed guest can take part in many outdoor activities like trekking, jeep safari in adjoining areas, bird watching in the lake, outdoor games, etc. They can make their evening memorable by enjoying camp-fire with Rajasthan folk dance, music in starlit nights.They can enjoy their morning tea with rising sun, birds chirping and overlooking the picturesque lake.RESTAURANT:The esteemed guest can enjoy their morning tea with rising sun, birds chirping and overlooking the picturesque lake. The guests are provided with both Rajasthani and Continental cuisine in the open lake view restaurant. Culinary art of the princely state of Rajasthan is judged as the most majestic and royal by the connoisseurs of food. Pure ghee or butter is used as a medium of cooking. Generally, Rajasthani curries are a brilliant red but they are not as spicy as they look. Chutneys from the locally available spices help to make the food even more interesting A favourite sweet dish called lapsi is prepared with broken wheat (dalia) sautéed in ghee and sweetened. Guests are provided veg, non-veg, continental and traditional rajasthani dishes with vegetables grown at our farm through organic farming. We serve fresh vegetable and dairy products.
