Hotel Overview : The Emerald HotelThe Emerald Hotel is conveniently located within 2 minutes walk to one of Bangkoks underground (MRT) stations. Train journeys ranging from 10 to 20 minutes will take you on to some other well known areas Sukhumvit, Silom and Siam Square.Opened in November 1992, continually upgraded, The Emerald Hotel is located in the midst of one of Bangkoks busiest commercial and entertainment hubs. The Emerald Hotel is considered home away from home too many of its regular guests. Using the MRT and the above ground Skytrain connection you can also easily get to the Chaophaya River where river cruise boats depart regularly from underneath the station. 10 minutes from/to hotel/Makasan Airport Rail Link station (the newest transportation to Suvarnabhumi Airport). The 607 room hotel has well appointed rooms and suites in two buildings, Atrium Wing and Emerald Tower. All guest rooms and suites are luxuriously furnished and tastefully decorated in soft, pastel colors which reflect a warm comfortable and relaxing ambience. Each has its own well appointed and fully equipped bathroom with all modern amenities and facilities, including spacious bathtub/shower unit. All guest rooms feature individual climate control, a personal safe, a color/LCD TV, a mini-bar refrigerator, cable TV, telephone with IDD facility, wire & wireless internet and coffee/tea making facilities are also offered in all guest rooms. All rooms, suites and public areas are well protected with the latest fire prevention equipment, including smoke detectors and sprinkler systems. There are many restaurants, serving a wide range of cuisines from across the globe. The coffee shop is open 24 hours a day, and it offers an international buffet breakfast, lunch and a Thai Buffet in the evening. An international a-la-carte menu is available all day. One restaurant serves the ultimate in Catonese cuisine, using only the finest ingredients and following traditional recipes. The Japanese restaurant features a traditional sushi bar, teppanyaki counters and six traditional tatami rooms. The menu offers a tempting and generous range of Japanese specialties. Regular breakfast for group is served on 2nd floor. The Business Centre provides a full range of services, including the most up-to-date communication facilities; IDD, Fax, Telex, secretarial and postal services and a private meeting room.
