Each guest room is decorated in a light and simple Scandinavian style, with beautiful artwork. Most rooms also offer scenic ocean views. Surrounded by forests, open fields and historic fishermen's cottages, Skovshoved Hotel is close to the royal hunting grounds of Dyrehaven that date back to 1670. These areas can be explored on foot, by bicycle or in a horse-drawn carriage and the nature reserve is populated with a rich selection of wildlife, including large herds of wild deer. For the past 3 years the in-house Restaurant Skovshoved has been recommended by the Michelin Guide. This elegant restaurant serves classic dishes inspired by traditional Mediterranean cuisine. During summer guests can dine on the open terrace offering views over the nearby quaint thatched-roof houses.
