The 2-storey historical hotel comprises 13 rooms, a lobby, TV lounge, bar, breakfast room, dining room and car park. Guests can also take advantage of Internet access. Room and laundry service are available for an additional fee.Set in 7 acres of woodland gardens in the magnificent wilderness of Connemara, the Ross Lake House is only 22 km from Galway City on the N59 main Galway/Clifden road. The centre of Oughterard with its restaurants, bars/pubs, tourist attractions and shops is around 7 km from the hotel. There is a river which runs through the hotel grounds and Lough Corrib is about a 45 minute walk or approximately 7 km away. Spidal Beach and the Atlantic Ocean are both approximately 20 km away. Tourist attractions in the area include Aughnanure Castle (around 5 km away), Galway City (about 22 km away), the Aran Islands (approximately 25 km away), Kylemore Abbey (about 45 km away) and the Cliffs of Moher (around 100 km from the hotel). Galway Airport is approximately 3.5 km away and Ireland West Airport Knock and Shannon Airport both around 110 km away. Comfort and good taste are reflected in the 13 spacious en suite guestrooms and suites which have been individually decorated, blending the past and present and all designed to make your stay more enjoyable.
