In the new town of Monemvassia on the mainland (sometimes called Gefyra), this hotel is located directly opposite pebbly Kakavos Beach, which is lined with restaurants and coffee shops. The fortress dating back to the year 583 is on top of the rock, while the Old Town of Monemvassia is on the slope to the southeast of the rock.
