It is a theme hotel that combines lodging, dining, and leisure, and is built on approximately 700 square meters, with eighteen cozy, comfortable, and spacious guest rooms. The rooms include Courtyard Family Rooms, Courtyard Rooms, Four Seasons Suites, Four Seasons Courtyard Rooms, Four Seasons Rooms, Deluxe Rooms. Old Beijing Square is located in Baochao Hutong. The name Baochao derives from the Daochaosi, equivalent of the Bank of China in the Yuan Dynasty, that used to operate east of the Drum Tower. The adjacent street was thus named Daochao Hutong. Over hundreds of years, the name evolved from its original one to Baochao Hutong, meaning treasured bills (of money).Old Beijing Square is inside a siheyuan, a traditional dwelling with a central courtyard. It was built during the Qing dynasty, over 300 years ago. It served as a home for a government official named Ren Zan, who was known to be the number one scholar in his day and quickly climbed the hierarchy of civil service.
