    Wainuiomata is the gateway to the Rimutaka Forest Park, we are fortunate to own a hut in the park which is some 2 hours tramping into the park, this could be made available to guests. Wainuiomata also boasts an excellent 18 hole golf course, public swimming pool complex, a seal colony at Turarakirae Head, shopping mall. We can advise you on other things to do around Wainuiomata, the Hutt Valley and the wider Wellington region. We have travelled extensively throughout New Zealand and are happy to give you advice based on our own experience. We are able to arrange tours, tramping and walking trips, fishing trips etc.


    Transportation - Moores Valley Homestay Wainuiomata


    If travelling south on SH1, take the SH58 route which turns left off SH1 at Plimmerton, turn left on to SH2 at the lights at the foot of Haywards Hill, turn left off SH2 at the Kennedy-Good bridge, from there follow the signs to Wainuiomata. If travelling from Wellington, take SH2 towards the Hutt valley, take the Petone exit and follow the signs to Wainuiomata. Once you are on the Wainuiomata hill, continue on into Wainuiomata, go directly ahead at the roundabout at the foot of the hill, continue along the main road to the second roundabout where you veer to the right continuing on the main road towards the coast, at the next roundabout turn left into Moores Valley Road, continue along Moores Valley Road for about 5 km, turn left into Crowther Road, we are the second to last property on the left in Crowther Road.
