Hotel Overview : Hotel Yumoto NoboribetsuThe ryokan is one of hot spring inns standing on both sides of the main street, in the one-street-village, Noboribetsu Onsen. It takes 15 minutes by public bus or taxi from JR Noboribetsu Station and it is just a few steps from Noboribetsu Onsen Bus Terminal to the hotel. Noboribetsu is located in south-western Hokkaido and is one of the most well-known hot spring areas. The source of the village's hot spring water is called "Jigoku-dani" (Hell Valley) which produces 10, 000 tons of hot spring water a day. Jigoku-dani is an area surrounded by mountains, but is free from vegetation, steams from its surface and generates odor of sulfur. It is one of major tourist spots in the town.To fully enjoy the natural hot springs, the ryokan offers three kinds of hot spring sources with different mineral component and different types of hot spring communal baths including a hot spring waterfall and open-air bath for women only. From Jigoku-dani, visitors can walk to nearby Oyunuma which is a hot water lake producing large clouds of steam. The Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura. It is a modern 8 storey rectangular building of grey and white striped. All rooms are in traditional Japanese style with Tatami floor (straw mats). There is no bed facility of western product. By day, the rooms are furnished with a low table and zabuton floor cushions on Tatami. There is also a sitting area with two armchairs and a coffee table. By night, the room is transformed with Japanese futons into a sleeping area by room-maid. Each room has its own bathroom and toilet (Hot water from the bathrooms is NOT hot spring one). All are clean and in good condition. Dinner is not available, if the guest arrives after 20:00 o'clock on evening. Dinner is served in each guest room, while Japanese breakfast is served at a breakfast room(both, if included in plan). Coffee lounge is located on the lobby floor. Karaoke bar is also available from the evening. For group guests, Japanese banquet rooms are also available. The lobby is medium size with some seating area. It is bright and decorated in ryokan style with seasonal Japanese flower arrangements in the lobby. 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 10 kms to city centre, 7 km to the nearest station (noboribetsu), 80 kms to the nearest airport (sapporo-chitose). |
