The train station is just a 2-minute walk from the business hotel and the Corno alle Scale ski area is around 31 km away. The nearest beach is approximately 102 km from the conference hotel and Guglielmo Marconi airport is around 70 km away.Since 1904 the hotel has provided accommodation for guests and tourists who travel to Porretta Terme for a restful holiday. A century later, in order to satisfy modern demands in caring for the body, it is no longer merely a hotel, but has become, thanks to a complete renovation, an advanced beauty farm, in terms of the structure, quality and the service offered to guests. The air-conditioned spa complex offers 48 rooms in total and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, cloakroom and lift access. Further facilities include a TV lounge, caf, bar, restaurant, conference facilities, room service and a bicycle hire service. For an additional fee, guests may make use of the laundry service and the garage. All rooms feature elegant furnishings and all the comforts guests need for a pleasant stay with an LCD flat-screen TV, individually regulated air conditioning and heating, a telephone, minibar, safe and free wireless Internet access. A double or king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower and hairdryer also feature in all guest rooms as standard. The spa is a modern and very well-equipped health centre with a wet area set within a natural grotto. A large hammam, a heated indoor saltwater swimming pool with hydromassage and waterfalls, aesthetic and cosmetic treatments, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, massage service and aqua fit sessions, all with a unique methodology make this spa a truly exclusive location. Fees apply to all spa activities. Guests may also relax on the sun terrace using the sun loungers provided, or explore the surrounding area by bike. Guests' well-being is not only cared for in the spa, but also extends to the refined atmosphere of the restaurant. The preparation of the meals is based on a precise alimentary philosophy, taking into account the glycemic index of food and their quality. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning and set menu options are available for lunch and dinner. By car from the north: take the A1 Bologna-Florence motorway and get off at the Sasso Marconi exit (no. 14). Follow the SS 64 Porrettana highway south for roughly 45 km. From the south: take the A11 (Firenze Mare) motorway and get off at the Pistoia exit. Follow the SS 64 Porrettana highway north for roughly 35 km. Access to the spa's services is limited to guests over 14 years of age. This includes the swimming pool area due to the high temperature of the ambience. |
