Hotel Overview : Four Seasons Holiday Cottages Taranna

Four Seasons Holiday Cottages are located on the waterfront of “Little Norfolk Bay”, Tasman Peninsula. Four Seasons Holiday Cottages offers four cottages, which are painted in the seasonal colors of red, green, yellow and blue. These new cottages are fully self-contained with the living area, kitchen, dining room and bathroom on the ground level with two separate bedrooms upstairs and a roomy balcony at the front of each cottage where you can view the superb sunsets as they set over the Island. The costal locations of the Cottages make it easy for guests to head down to the pristine beaches and enjoy a leisurely walk or a romantic picnic. Taranna is a small sleepy settlement just north of Port Arthur Historic Site on the Tasman Peninsula. During the height of the Port Arthur penal settlement, Taranna was the terminus for a human railway, which ran between the jetty at Little Norfolk Bay and the prison. It was designed to carry passengers and supplies unloaded at Norfolk Bay and saved the ships the hazardous journey around Cape Raoul. It was the first railway in Australia and probably the only one using human horsepower along the seven kilometer line
