Welcome to Craigielee, the place to relax and unwind. Craigielee is a fully renovated and well maintained Victorian home within a garden setting. It is fully self contained with three generous sized bedrooms, two lounge rooms, formal dining room and country kitchen. The house is double brick and retains its period features of timber floors and ceilings with pressed metal ceilings in the hallway, dining room and bathroom. There are two open fireplaces for use.There is hydronic heating thoughout the houseThe wide return verandah has wrought iron fretwork and balustrades. It is the perfect place to wine and dine or to enjoy watching the birds in the garden. Craigielee is in a wide tree lined street with the golf course and sports ground at the end of the Victoria Road and the shops and restaurants are a ten minute stroll away. There is a small licensed supermarket at the end of the street, in Junction Road, that can provide you with all your needs including video hire. Accommodation Family Room ¿ The informal lounge room opens onto the verandah. It has two comfortable sofas, TV, DVD, CD players and books, games and magazines. A small room opens off it with a day couch. Lounge room ¿ Relax in front of the open fire while curled up on the couch. Also has a TV and video player. Dining Room ¿ Enjoy the open fire in the formal dining room with a seating for six at an extendable table. It also has a sideboard and gilt mirror over the mantle. Kitchen ¿ It is a large country kitchen with full cooking facilities including microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, dishwasher and everything required to cook up a storm. Bedroom 1 ¿ The blue room has an antique double brass bed with fine linen, electric blanket, doona and wardrobe and over looks the orchard. A lovely room for those that like blue and comfort. Bedroom 2 ¿ The green room has an antique double brass bed, chest of drawers, full mirror, warm doona & electric blanket. It overlooks the side garden and front fountain. A great room to lie in bed and view the garden. Bedroom 3 ¿ Has a comfortable queen bed with built in robes, doona, quality linen and electric blanket. Bathroom ¿ The bathroom has a claw foot bath with separate shower and toilet. It has a larger timber vanity unit and mirror with plenty of storage. Plush towels provided. There is a second shower and toilet in the laundry. The Garden is a pleasure with fountain, stone retaining walls and lots of places to relax. There are herbs to pick and fruit trees of orange, lemon and lime. The peony roses, roses, bulbs, camellias and azelias abound in this old garden. There are a number of outdoor settings on the verandah and in the garden. A barbeque is available on request. Craigielee is recommended for couples, girlfriend getaways, family and friends. Due to the fountain it is not suitable for children under 12 years.
Large comfortable Victorian House on 1/2 acre of lovely garden. It offers complete privacy and is ideal for three couples or combinations of up to six persons.     Transportation - Craigielee House Beechworth


    Craigielee is approx. 1 kilometre from the Beechworth Post Office. Travel north on Ford Street towards Wodonga. Drive past the old Beechworth gaol, Beechworth park and Beechworth Primary School, all on your right then take the right hand turn into Junction Road and immediately left into Victoria Road. Number 18 is half way up the street on your right hand side with the long cream and green picket fence. Car access is via Wells Street. Instead of taking the first left from Junction Road turn left at the second street, Wells Street. Craigielee is on your left with a large green fence and the gates are on the left hand side of the property. They are also corrugated iron like the fence but you should be able to find them by the drive cross over. Two off street car parks are available. There is a small park next to Craigielee in Wells Street.
