The construction on the Corinda's Cottages’s main building was completed in 1880, and the cottages were built in 1850. Upon completion of the main building, the cottages were turned into the servants’ quarters. The original builder was Alfred Crisp, a wealthy timber merchant that later become Lord Mayor of Hobart.
