Casa Cuseni B&B

Hotel Overview : Casa Cuseni B&B

Cuseni House was designed and built by RHKitson between 1905 and 1911, under the Rock of Taormina. And 'one of the many beautiful villas built by the English nobles, who have chosen to add to the beauty of the city's next Etna and the coast. House Cuseni has significant claims in the Italian architectural heritage, is an outstanding example of a brief period when the British interior design has been very influential in Europe, and when in Italy, and Sicily in particular, Art Nouveau and Louis Ernesto Basile Ducrot was much appreciated. In 1905 and in 1907 Sir Frank Brangwyn has provided interior design for the British Pavilion for the International exhibition in Venice, the Biennale hours. Dear friend of Robert Kitson, Frank Brangwyn Cuseni House has not only visited, but has designed much of his furniture, and the whole dining room for which he painted the frieze 1909-1910. Cuseni House is the only remaining example in the world, complete and intact, of an interior entirely designed and realized by this important artist who has decorated some of the greatest city halls and shopping in London, the United States and Canada, just before WWI. House has an extraordinary Cusesi Historic Garden, the first built in Taormina, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
