It is only a few minutes' stroll to the centre of Chaweng's shopping district and the hotel's vicinity also includes restaurants, bars, pubs and discos. It is only 60 minutes' drive from Samui International Airport. Facilities Inspired by the great Srivijaya Empire, which flourished along the shores and among the islands of Southeast Asia a few centuries ago, the resort is a haven of ease and tranquillity which recaptures the spirit of Srivijaya, the lightness and grace of its art, the security and serenity that springs from a civilization moulded by the gentle Buddhist faith. This heritage of a rich and glorious culture is complemented by the splendour of nature. Samui's superb white sandy beaches are set against a lush backdrop of palms and forested hills as well as quiet coves bathed by the Gulf of Thailand's clear waters. Guests are welcomed into the hotel lobby of this 66-room beach hotel, which features a 24-hour reception and check-out service, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, lift access as well as a hotel bar, pub and disco. In addition to a kid's club and children's play area there is also a games room and TV lounge. Room service is provided and conference facilities and Internet access are available for business guests. Parking facilities are offered for guests arriving by car. Rooms Accommodation comprises exquisite villas that afford the luxury of sheer space and the comfort of amenities blending the traditional with the sophisticated. The choice of accommodation ranges from villas with pool access, each 140 m² in size, to beachfront villas with large private pools of 200 m². All have a dressing area with a bathtub and a separate shower room. Further amenities include individually regulated air conditioning and heating units, as well as a minibar/refrigerator, in-room safe, satellite/cable TV, washing machine and hairdryer. Sports/Entertainment The hotel features a cascading swimming pool with a hot tub, poolside snack bar and sun loungers. Sukko Spa features a royal service and traditional Thai therapies, including massage treatments. In addition to a steam room, there are 2 private spa rooms and an in-villa spa for relaxation, featuring the signature treatment of Sukko Spa's menu. The hotel also has a gym, and guests are able to participate in aqua fit classes or to go banana boating, jet skiing, motor boating, catamaran boating, diving and windsurfing. Meals Kalimantan restaurant is an international restaurant serving an American breakfast buffet in the morning and international food. A buffet service is provided for lunch and dinner and meals are either a la carte or chosen by guests from a set menu.
