Hotel Overview : Bouverie Bed & Breakfast at 9B Scotland StreetCassie and Archie Bouverie welcome you . We run this cosy and friendly bed and breakfast with Philip their housekeeper. Philip will be there to welcome you and give advice on things to do and places to go. 9b is a 7 minute walk from Edinburgh's Waverley Station through the 'New Town' Georgian streets and you will arrive at No. 9b Scotland Street. The airport is roughly, a 30 minute bus or taxi journey. Stay in this converted 'below stairs' part of a Town House which has been cleverly converted to sleep eight guests - 2 twin rooms with private bathrooms, and 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is cooked in front of you on the 'Aga' by Philip or Archie and served in the kitchen where the guests sit together at a large antique table. We serve traditional porridge, organic yoghurts, ground coffee or tea, wholemeal toast, locally produced bacon and sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms and a selection of cereals. You will be recommended Archie's special - a variant of Spanish omelette with free range eggs. Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.30 am. You can experience the quiet atmosphere and stylish decor of this beautiful garden flat which is a mixture of country farmhouse and antique furniture. A collection of Cassie's photographs enhance the walls. Two of the rooms overlook a quiet private garden seen here. |
