Awaroa cottage is set in tranquil countryside midway between Auckland and Hamilton. The property is a working vineyard and olive grove surrounded by a beef and sheep farm. The cottage is self contained and has 2 bedrooms - one queen bed and 1 king twin (sleeping maximum 4 persons). There is a separate lounge dining, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. french doors lead to a private verandah and outdoor area with views across the vineyard. Full breakfast ingredients are supplied including fresh free range farm eggs and home made jams to allow you to breakfast at your leisure.

Transportation - Awaroa Vineyard Cottage Huntly

Turn off SH1 to Glen Murray at Rangiriri and cross the traffic light controlled bridge over the Waikato River. Follow the road around the left bend and turn right onto the Glen Murray- Rangiriri Rd (0.4km's from bridge) You should see the Te Kauwhata Transport depot on the corner. Travel across the river flats, up a rise (5.1 km's) then follow the road around to the left. Continue on the Glen Murray Rd with Lake Whangape on your left for about 6km's then turn left onto Tikotiko Rd for a further 5kms before turning left onto Insoll Rd. (please note 3.5 km's are unsealed) The Awaroa vineyard and cottage is at the end of this no exit road. (You will go over a cattle stop about halfway down the road) Take the left driveway up through the vineyard to the carpark at the back of the house. If travelling on SH22, turn off onto Tikotiko Rd between Naike and Glen Murray and take the first road on the right, Insoll Rd, about 2km's from SH22. The house is at the end of this no exit road - see instructions above. Please call if you get lost.
