Hotel Overview : Artuklu KervansarayiThis is an impressive old style house which has been completely renovated. It has wireless connection throughout the hotel building. (02/07 SB) This is a very old building, recently fully renovated. It is all white and has large terraces on the roof where one can enjoy taking teas and coffees. The restaurant is spacious decorated with local artefacts. It serves local and Turkish specialities in a very pleasant atmosphere. There is also a cafe decorated with local kilims. This is small with arches and columns holding the stoned ceiling. It has carpets from that region on its floor. 43 Single rooms Double rooms Twin rooms Triple rooms All the rooms are medium sized and are built with the original stones of this period building. Even though the rooms have kept their authenticity, all modern amenities have been thought of. All the rooms have mini bar, direct dial telephone, cable television, air conditioning, bathroom with hair dryer. The hotel is located in the center of Mardin. The hotel is on the skirts of the hill were the Mardin Fortress sits. Mardin actually is one of the oldest settlements of Mesopotamia.
