Hotel Overview : Agriturismo Masseria LaccoLa Masseria was built at the beginning of the XIX century in the countryside nearby Muro Leccese (an ancient Messapic city rich of history) in a county called Lacco, which gives the name to the property. The ancient building has been restored carefully preserving the original structure. The restored works have brought out the typical features of the Masserie Salentine where in the same place you would find the house of the farmer (lu massaru) and also the farm animals' shelter and other places for indoor daily agriculture activities. Masseria Lacco belongs to Duke Basurto's, a noble family, and it has been transformed in holiday farm, run by the owners, integrated nowdays with the other parts of the farm. Two large yards characterise the Masseria. In the inner yard citrus, carob and pomegranate trees, a pear-quince tree and a rocky garden are the background of the 6 rooms, simply furnished. The roofs have barrel vaults and on the floor the typical chianche( 2 rooms have also ancient fireplaces).Around the outdoor yard there are 3 little houses (each with two large rooms and a bathroom) with a large terrace with a oak wood on the nearby Every house can lodge up to 4 persons. Every room has bathroom with shower, safety-box, air conditioning, heating, fridge and tv. A large parking is at host disposal. The two restaurant halls have an ancient fireplace that warm the atmosphere during the winter season. Ideal for people loving ancient tradition, nature, relax, trekking and bicycle, the Masseria with its woods and olive trees offers the possibility to enjoy the quiet and the silence of the countryside.
