Blue Mountains Scenic Flight

Experience a unique view of the lush, eucalypt filled Blue Mountains from the front seat of this adrenaline inducing, open-cockpit bi-plane. Wave at the Three Sisters, soar over the Skyway and breath in the heady scent of the dense forest as you fly over the magnificent Burragorang Valley.

Upon your arrival at Bankstown airport, you will climb into a flight-suit and prepare to board. Your pilot will strap you securely into the open-air cockpit of the Pitts Special S2A aerobatic bi-plane and fasten your headphones and flight helmet. There will be plenty of time for your family and friends to take photographs of you as you prepare for your flight. When you are secure, your pilot will prepare the plane for take off. You will be able to hear all the calls to air traffic control and speak to your pilot through the intercom.

Once airborne you'll head west towards the Blue Mountains, dropping low over Warragamba Dam and into the Burragorang Valley- Australia's answer to the Grand Canyon. Flying 500ft above the level of the water, and below the top of the magnificent escarpments, you'll experience a unique view of the lush, eucalypt covered landscape of the Great Dividing Range. Circling over Mt Beloon and the mouth of the Tonalli River you'll head back up the valley to Katoomba and do a fly past of the Three Sisters.

As you head back towards Bankstown you'll have the chance to pull out all stops with some adrenaline inducing aerobatics; try a loop and a roll to give you a view of the world from a completely different perspective. This is what the Pitts is made for and your pilot will give you a taste of the G-Forces Baron Manfred Von Richtoffen himself may have experienced during air combat.

Landing back at Bankstown you'll be hard pressed to stop smiling for the rest of the day and we hope it is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.

Note: The Pitts S2A bi plane was designed by Curtis Pitts in 1949. They are single passenger aircrafts where the pilot sits behind the passenger.
