4-Day Rhodes Excursion

Visit the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage City of Rhodes on a four-day unaccompanied tour from Athens. This walled city is the largest inhabited medieval town in Europe. From Grand Palaces to majestic harbors, Rhodes is unforgettable!

Day 1:
Depart at 8:00am from your Athens hotel, transferring to the airport for your flight to Rhodes. Overnight at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel or similar

Day 2:
After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a morning tour of Rhodes. The excursion includes a licensed guide and private taxi. The tour will begin with a panoramic drive through the New Town, past Mandraki Harbor, the Post Office, Town Hall, Evangelismos and continues to the Monte Smith Hill which offers a magnificent view of the Aegean and the City of Rhodes.

Continue past the ancient Rhodes Acropolis dedicated to Zeus Polieus and onto Athena Polias and Pythian Apollo. Pass the ancient Stadium and Theatre, both of which have been restored. From here continue to the D'Amboise Gate of the Medieval City where the you'll disembark visit the Grand Masters Palace on foot.

The Street of the Knights, which, in spite of the restoration of its buildings, has remained untouched by the passage of 500 years, since it was originally built in the 14th-century. The Gothic order predominates and the Inns of the various 'Tongues' stand in a row, with arched doorways, their emblems carved above them.

Day 3:
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free to explore the island of roses. Its outstanding monuments of Ancient Byzantine and Medieval Greece are reminders of its turbulent history including the settlement of the Knights of St. John in the 13th century.Choose to explore the island further or simply relax by thepool - the choice is yours.

Day 4:

After breakfast at the hotel, an early afternoon transfer takes to the airport for your flight to Athens, arriving at approximately 8:00pm.
