Hotel Overview : The Huntington Hotel & Nob Hill SpaThe Huntington Hotel and Nob Hill Spa is located atop prestigious and beautiful Nob Hill, a short distance to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf and the Financial District. San Francisco's historic cable cars glide past the hotels entrance and take visitors down to the Financial District or Ferry Building. Directly across the street from the hotel is the beautiful and stately Grace Cathedral and Huntington Park.In the same family for generations, the Huntington Hotel and Nob Hill Spa offer understated luxury along with courtesy and service at their very best. The Huntington Hotel is a 12 story brick building built in 1924 as a residential apartment building. It was converted to a hotel in the mid-1940's but room sizes remained the same, therefore the guest rooms are larger than industry standard hotel rooms. An L-shaped building, the Huntington offers spectacular views of Huntington Park, Grace Cathedral and the downtown city skyline. The Big 4 Restaurant features innovative contemporary American cuisine in an elegant club-like setting. The dark wood bar and lounge area lit by a fireplace and offering live piano music nightly makes you instantly feel at home in a classic San Francisco setting. Dark green leather banquettes and etched mirrors frame the restaurant , which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Award winning Executive Chef Gloria Ciccarone-Nehls presents delicious American cuisine, often featuring a wild game selection or two, her specialty. The Huntington Hotel's intimate lobby is cozy and immediately makes the guests feel at home. The lobby connects the Big 4 Restaurant and the Nob Hill Spa to the hotel and was recently renovated with new furnishings and more classic pieces. A concierge is available to guests for whatever needs they may have during their stay. The Huntington Hotel also features four meeting rooms - the Executive Boardroom, Charles Crocker Room, Tobin Room and the Central Pacific Room(located in the Big 4 Restaurant). These rooms are on higher floors with great views. All are individually appointed with either contemporary or traditional decor and feature lush and comfortable surroundings and amenities provided by the Nob Hill Spa. 2 km to the nearest fair site (moscone convention center), 2 km to the nearest station (bart), 21 kms to the airport (san francisco), 27 kms to the airport (oakland), 3 km to the nearest beach, 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (muni). |
