    Things to do in Culburra * Swimming - directly in front of the house and in summer, there are 2 patrolled beaches; one at Tilbury Cove on the southern end of Culburra beach and the other at Warrain beach, the other surf beach at Culburra (also see Beaches of the Shoalhaven - part of the library at Sur le Sable) * Surfing - both Culburra and Warrain are great surfing beaches and Culburra has a surf school if you¿re up for lessons * Fishing - beach fishing in front of the house; rock fishing is popular at both points. * Boating - the boat ramp just a few minutes down the road from Sur le Sable at the mouth of the Crookhaven River for you to explore the waterways of the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven Rivers or out to the open sea * Cycling - Culburra is flat and there is a cycle track that meanders around both beaches to the Lighthouse taking in Curley¿s Bay and Woolumboola Lake * The lakes offer many opportunities including birdwatching and walking around the mudflats * Dolphin watching is a daily activity as they cross the bay, frolicking in the waves. Walking north from the beach will take you to a rock platform where you will see some steps that will take you to the lighthouse. Magnificent views of Orient Point and Greenwell Point townships at the mouth of the Crookhaven River are a highlight. 1hour¿s round trip. * The walk south takes you around Penguin¿s Head to Warrain beach. You may return via Penguin¿s Head Rd after you reach the Surf Club or continue along Warrain beach until you reach Wollumboola Lake which is well worth exploring. Over 11/2 to 2 hours round trip.
