There are 14 guest rooms each with ensuite, television and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are unique and reflect Seaview's Coffee Palace past, while at the same time providing modern-day conveniences. Premier rooms feature queen-sized beds with delightful French and Oriental style quilts, handmade in Queenscliff The Deluxe Suite is attractively furnished and has a private balcony. It has a large bathroom complete with an antique Victorian bath. Bath oils and fragrances are provided for guests' pleasure. TV & DVD player in room, fridge & tea/coffee making. The daily tariff includes a delicious buffet breakfast of homemade breads, conserves and muesli, poached and fresh fruits in season and freshly brewed tea and coffee. There are two guest lounges at Seaview. The upstairs lounge offers delightful views of the town and the sea beyond. In the downstairs lounge guests can relax in style and read from the extensive library or chat by the open fire. Drinks are available from the bar of an evening. |

We are within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and restaurants, good swimming beaches and marina, galleries and museums, the restored steam train which runs to Drysdale, the Queenscliff golf course, and the historic fort. Other attractions nearby include fantastic walks and bike rides (Point Nepean National Park,'Walk it, jog it, ride it' Rail Trail to name a couple), wineries, berry farms, fishing and diving charters, great surf beaches,wild dolphin swims and local markets.
Transportation - Seaview House Queenscliff
Seaview House is located in the main street of Queenscliff, at 86 Hesse St. Queenscliff marks the beginning or end of the Great Ocean Road and lies close to the entry to Port Phillip Bay. Travelling by car it is approximately 1 ½ hours drive from Melbourne via Geelong. Queenscliff can also be reached via the car/passenger ferry from Sorrento. This service runs every day of the year, from 7am to 6pm (7pm during daylight saving) and takes about 45 minutes. Cars cost $45.00 one way, plus an extra $4.00 per accompanying adult. The tariff is $8.00 for foot passengers. Children and pensioners are less. A bus service operates daily between Geelong and Queenscliff every 1-2 hours. One way tickets cost $6.60. Concession is available. For more information on times and pick-up points contact McHarry's bus service Taxis from Geelong cost around $60.00 one way and take around 30 minutes.
