Hotel Overview : Matachica Beach ResortMatachica Beach Resort is a secluded beach resort located five miles north of the quaint village of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye. Matachica is set on a white sandy beach, surrounded by lush tropical greenery, and facing the world's second largest barrier reef. Belize borders the Caribbean Sea along the eastern shore of Central America just below the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the only English speaking Central American country. Belize has a relatively small population, approximated at 250,000, who speak mostly English, Spanish, and Creole. Its lands are covered by a lush rainforest. Belize is renowned by outdoor enthusiasts who come from around the globe for diving, snorkeling, hiking, jungle adventures, and more.Guests can take a sea kayak to the barrier reef and snorkel alongside beautiful coral, Manta Rays, turtles, and hundreds of species of fish. Begin the evening with cocktails in the intimate beachfront lounge, followed by a delicious full course dinner in the acclaimed MAMBO restaurant. Then enjoy a classic film in Cinema-Martini Lounge. Cinema-Martini Lounge also offers free Internet access on widescreen Apple computers. JADE SPA offers a wide range of treatments all with organic local ingredients, tropical scents, and relaxing ambiance. All accommodations are set in individual, private, air-conditioned villas featuring full baths, daily maid service, living rooms, sitting areas, private patios, feather duvets, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes, Central American interior furnishings, and views of the barrier reef. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Property does not allow children under 10 years of age.
