Country Music attractions include Walk A Country Mile interpretive centre- the story of Australian Country Music, Big Golden Guitar and the Gallery of Stars Wax Museum and the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. Located on the New England Highway on the northern side of Tamworth is the Austin Tourist Park. GPS S 31' 06.408 E 150' 55.033 FROM THE EAST - Oxley Hwy from Walcha/ Port Macquarie. FROM THE NORTH- NEW England Hwy from Armidale/ Glen Innes The Park is 4 km before you come to the city on the left hand side opposite a Caltex Service Station. FROM THE WEST- Oxley Hwy from Gunnedah/Dubbo Head straight into the city, over the Peel River bridge, through the next two sets of traffic lights and then turn right at the third set- heading towards Armidale. The Park is approximately 4 kms from these lights on the right hand side of the road, almost opposite a Caltex Service Station. FROM THE SOUTH- New England Hwy from Sydney/ Newcastle and Muswellbrook. Head straight into the city past the Big Golden Guitar, through the next two roundabouts and then turn right at the third roundabout (Acacia Motel is on the corner). Proceed across the river flats and through the next roundabout and then turn right at the next roundabout- towards Armidale. The park is approximately 2 kms from this roundabout on the right hand side of the road, almost opposite a Caltex Service Station.
