Hotel Overview : Alcova del Doge RelaisThis restructured 1850's palace offers its guests bedrooms, each ones unique for its original and suggestive personality. As you enter, you'll be welcomed by a cosy hall, next to it there's a warming breakfast room and a garden surrounded by enchanting greenery and 1600's walls. Here you can have a breakfast during the good season, or have relax drinking something fresh during the day. The forniture was carefully selected from antique markets and dealers, and different colours were used to create a cozy and warming atmosphere. The views from the rooms range over the wonderful courtyard, the vigorous park of an old, antique villa and the suggestive and relaxing flowing of the Brenta River, making the guest feel to be in relax. Five rooms are been extracted from which originally was the shed and the barn of the main building, getting the atmosphere more suggestive and bucolic. Michela and Sabrina, the owners of the house, are happy to welcome and provide hospitality to you and your beloved, friends, family. Pets are welcomed, and your bicycle will find a safe shelter. Where we are locatedThe Interstate 11 connects Venice (antique capital of the Serenissima ) to Padua (historical university town) following the Brenta River. Mira, situated in the heart of the Brenta River, at equal distance from Padua and Venice, is the ideal departing base for numerous excursions that this rich territory offers. The setting of the Relais Alcova del Doge gives you the possibility to reach Venice in differents ways:- by bus (ACTV line Venezia-Padova), which get to Venice in 35 minutes with the last riding at midnight. The bus stop is 150 m from us;- by train, which gets to Venice in 20 minutes. The train station Mira-Mirano is situated 2 km from us;- by boat, from the Terminal Fusina, 8 km far away from us, so you can already taste the atmoshere of the venetian lagoon. The villas along the Brenta River, which alone have weight a trip, are situated just few km from us. You can visit the famous Venetian Villas by bike or you may go on one of the many organized river-boat tours. Verona, Venice, Treviso, the spectacular Delta Po, the amazing Dolomite mountains, the famous beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, the Thermal Baths of Abano area and the Prosecco wine Road are from 30 min. to 2 hours drive away. |
